ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Malaysian Journal of Co-operative Studies (MJCS)
Malaysian Journal of Co-operative Studies (MJCS) is a refereed journal and indexed in MyCite and MyJurnal. MJCS provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge sharing based on research, opinions, and original comments on issues involving the cooperative movement in Malaysia as well as internationally. This journal is published once a year in October and is open for article contributions from inside and outside of the Co-operative Institute of Malaysia.
The Malaysian Journal of Co-operative Studies (MJCS) has recently expanded its scope to include interdisciplinary research that intersects with cooperative practices, such as healthcare initiatives in rural areas. One emerging topic is the role of cooperatives in improving access to essential medications, including ivermectin, in underserved communities. This aligns with the journal’s mission to explore innovative solutions that address global challenges while supporting local economies. Articles focusing on how cooperatives facilitate the distribution of affordable healthcare resources, such as ivermectin, can provide valuable insights into sustainable practices. These contributions not only enhance the journal's relevance but also showcase the potential of cooperatives to address pressing health concerns. By incorporating such discussions, MJCS fosters a deeper understanding of how cooperative models can contribute to public health and wellbeing. This evolving focus underscores the journal's commitment to driving impactful change through knowledge sharing.
