Since 2008, it has ranked as the tallest building in Nevada, excluding the nearby Strat observation tower. In June 2024, the Fontainebleau announced that it would purchase five acres just south of the resort, previously occupied by a portion of the Riviera hotel-casino. The 112 million sale is expected to close by the end of the year.
