Licensing and Copyrights Statements
Malaysian Journal of Co-operative Studies (MJCS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal. This means that all published articles are freely available to users without charge. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any lawful purpose, without prior permission from the Publisher or the author, as long as the original work is accurately cited. This is in accordance with the DOAJ definition of open access.
All articles published in MJCS are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). Full articles can be downloaded free of charge for non-commercial purposes.
1. Users (Authors and Readers) may:
- Distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, provided that a link to the license is included, details of changes made are indicated, and international norms regarding plagiarism are followed.
- Attribution is granted to the author while accurately citing the original source.
- Use the material for non-commercial purposes (use of materials for commercial purposes is not allowed).
Authors retain copyright to their articles without restrictions. However, they grant MJCS a non-exclusive license to publish the article, including any abstract, visual abstract, tables, figures, data, and supplemental material (collectively referred to as the Article). Granting MJCS the right of first publication also qualifies as unrestricted copyright, as the Publisher does not restrict the author’s copyright.
The authors warrant that the entire article is original and unpublished; it is submitted only to MJCS, and all text, data, figures/tables, or other illustrations included in the article are completely original and unpublished. These materials have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere in any form or media whatsoever, and the article does not violate or infringe on any other copyright or rights related to any other published materials. For any materials used in the article for which the authors do not hold the copyright, the authors must obtain written permission from the original creator or publisher to use such materials in the article.
The corresponding author accepts responsibility for submitting the article on behalf of all co-authors. After the corresponding author has submitted the article, changes in authorship or the order of the authors listed will not be accepted.
Once an article is accepted for publication in MJCS, it cannot be withdrawn.
However, this agreement will become null and void if the article is not published in MJCS.
